Huge elephant figures were made of bamboo and paper, adored by colorful clothes. Two men go inside and made amazing Kyauk Se Elephant dance. It is an old tradition as local Myanmar believe that When King Anawrahta brought Buddha Relic, White Elephant stopped at 5 places before arriving to Bagan. Kyauk Se is one of the 5 places. To mark the history, local Myanmar celebrate Kyauk Se elephant dancing festival. Festival last the whole day from 09:30 to 15:30. Now a day, celebrate it for a parade and dance competition. The tradition of creating elephant costumes for the Elephant Dance competition was started in the early 20th century. About 25 groups of musician take part for Elephant dance festival. Traditional costume style, elaborate decoration and youth participants are three categories they have to take care most. The frame is made of green bamboo and the body is covered by colorful paper. The head is connected to the body and the man in front can turn it. The trunk is flexible. There are two dancers inside the bamboo elephant.
