Day 1: Arrival to Yangon

Arrival to Yangon and transfer to hotel. Overnight at  Yangon.

 

Day 2: Visit full day in Yangon

Morning breakfast at the hotel visit Yangon.  Yangon is the most important commercial city in Myanmar. Stroll around India quarter from Sule pagoda to Theingyi market through Strand road to Mago road pass Synagogue and visit morning vegetable market which is beside Theingyi marker where one can see Myanmar daily food, snack and sweet that you cannot find an elegant restaurant. Short visit to Nun's monastery. Stop at Sule pagoda to make picture highlight of downtown of Yangon.  Bogyoke market which is the most popular shopping center in Yanogn, Nanthida port to take ferry boat which cross Yangon river that join between Yanogn and Dala, by taking ferry boat for 15 minutes one can realize about Myanmar transportation system and real life of urban people nearby big Yangon city, enjoy trishaw ride at Dala to visit the village: candle maker family, rice paper maker family and fishermen village.. Stop at Kandawgyi park and finally visit Shwedagon pagoda that is the most venerable pagoda in Myanmar. Overnight at Yangon.

 

Day 3: Yangon fly to Heho drive to Pindaya proceed to Inlay

Transfer to airport and fly to Heho. Scenic drive to Pindaya. Stop at Pao tribe village to see how to make exterior Myanmar cigar leaves. Visit Pindaya cave: a collection of 8000 Buddha, umbrella workshop by using bamboo and paper from the bark of Marberry tree. Stop at a local family where they prepare pickle tea leaves that we use to make the salad. Stop at Plan bee project which is Myanmar- Israeli project and honey taste. Then drive to Nyaung. Overnight On Lake/ Nyaung Shwe.

 

Day 4: Full day visit on Inlay Lake

Morning breakfast at the hotel, visit every five days market Visit Phaung Daw Oo pagoda: temple of 5 Buddha images, floating villages, floating garden, cigar workshop, canoe trip at the village: Intha (tribe) village, Intha means, "son of the lake". They live with long leg house, it is really exciting to use their local transport (canoe), which is narrow and long enough for two passengers and one leg rower. They use canoe when they work on floating island so it is narrow and long. Leg rower will bring you to visit their village. Visit snack maker village. Overnight on lake / Nyaung Shwe.

 

Day 5:  Nyaung Shwe- Kakku –Nyaung Shwe

Morning breakfast at the hotel.  Drive to Kaku which is located 65k m from Nyaung Shwe about two and half hours. That area was inhabited by colorful Pao tribe. On the way to Kaku, one can enjoy beautiful landscape and way of life of Pao tribe. Kaku is a place where there is a big collection of 2000 stupas in a small area of one square kilometer. Drive back to Nyaung Shwe. Overnight on lake / Nyaung Shwe.

 

Day 6:   Inlay lake-Heho-Bagan

Morning breakfast at the hotel visit ruins of Indein. In the afternoon transfer to Heho airport and fly to Bagan. On the way visit Shwe Yan Pyay 19th wooden monastery and temple which is famous for mosai work Upon arrival to Bagan transfer to hotel. Overnight at Bagan.

 

Day 7: Bagan

Visit Bagan. Bagan is archeological zone of Myanmar as well as land of Pagodas. Morning visit Ngakwengadaung pagoda which has bubo  shape and the oldest pagoda of Bagan and around that place one can see evolution of Myanmar stupa, Pathothamya temple in which you can see amazing lighting system and beautiful painting, Nyaung U authentic market, Soya bean maker at Nyaung U village, fan maker family, Shwezigon pagoda in which white elephant stopped, stop at Bu Le thi pagoda which is nice place for panorama over Bagan. Visit Ananda temple which is known as the most beautiful temple in Bagan, amazing handmade lacquare workshop, Sulamani temple where you can see two layers of painting from two different epoca, enjoy   sunset from Nanmyint Tower. Overnight at Bagan.

 

Day 8: Bagan

Morning drive outside of Bagan and visit to local farm where local family make sugar from palm tree and make cooking oil from peanut and sesame that will give you experience in touch with local farmer. Back to Bagan and stop at the village to observe daily life of Myanmar farmers. In the afternoon enjoy horse cart drive among the ruins of Bagan. Overnight at Bagan

 

Monywa Maukyi village Myanmar

Day 9: Bagan drive to Monyaw visit 

Morning breakfast at the hotel and dive to Monyaw (about 4 hours)

While you are driving enjoy the beautiful landscape, visit  Myanmar Traditional cake maker house near Yezagyo village in which one can see how to make Myanmar cake with rice powder and a nice stop at the local family house for snack tasting. Then proceed to drive and visit handicraft village in which villagers make incense, bamboo balance and one can admire Myanmar traditional family daily life and visit some old pagodas (19th century) which are beside of the village in the bushes. Stop to visit Thanbodhay temple which looks like birthday cake decorated colorful flowers surrounded by many towers and small stupas and Buddha images, a forest of Bayan trees under one Bayan tree there is Buddha image, huge standing Buddha and reclining Buddha. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at Monywa.

 

Po Win cave -Myanmar- MonywaDay 10: Monywa-Mandalay

Morning visit to the vegetable market. Then drive to Po Win caves (one hour) which known as untouched archeological site in Myanmar.  Stop at local teashop can try Myanmar traditional Nan. Then drive to Mandalay. On the way stop at noodle workshop to see how to make bean noodle that we use to make famous soup and vermicelli.  Stop at the village in which all villagers produce local snack. Overnight at Mandalay.

 

U Bein Bridge - Amarapura

Day 11: Mandalay –Amarapura  -Sagaing- Innwa

Morning breakfast at hotel. Short drive to Amarapura and visit Mahagandayone monastery: school for 1200 Buddhist monk. The most interesting time to visit that monastery is at 10:15am when all monks enter to dining room for their lunch. Then visit traditional hand woven silk workshop. Visit the village in which all villagers make different items made of clay that we still use in our daily life. Proceed to Innwa. an artificial island, one of the ancient capitals of Myanmar  and visit Bagaya monastery, Menu Ok kyaung  and ruin of Innwa by horse cart . Then drive to Sagaing. Visit to top of Sagaing Hill for beautiful panorama over Ayeyarwaddy river and holy hill, stop at  monastic education center to see how Myanmar children survive to study. Drive back to Amarapura and visit U Bein bridge (during sunset time) which is the longest wooden bridge in the world. Then drive to Mandalay. Overnight at Mandalay.

 

Day 12: Mandalay ( Mingun – Mandalay )

Morning visit Jade market which is very famous in Mandalay and see how Myanmar craftsman produce different kinds of jade from the biggest stone to the smallest piece by hand. Then transfer to jetty and river cruise to Mingun for one hour.  Mingun is small village which is situated on the western bank of Ayeyarwady river. Visit unfinished pagoda, the world biggest bell, and monument of love. Then go back to Mandalay by boat. In the afternoon visit Mahamuni pagoda; one of the three important places in Myanmar in which can see Myanmar daily life, Shwenandaw Monastery; former Mandalay Royal Palace, the world biggest book and finally go up to the top of Mandalay Hill to admire the city Mandalay. Overnight at Mandalay

 

Day 13: Mandalay and departure

Morning free and transfer to Mandalay international airport and fly to ………….
