Day 1 :      Yangon

 Arrival to Yangon international airport. Transfer to hotel and free. Overnight at Yangon.

 

Day 2:    Yangon City tour

Breakfast at the hotel visit Yangon.  Yangon is the most important commercial city in Myanmar.  Visit the Banana market that Myanmar use green banana and coconut for offering. Stroll around Old Yangon city around Sule square which is heart of Yangon city opposite of Mahabandula park. Walk to Nanthida port to take ferry boat which cross Yangon river that join between Yanogn and Dala, by taking ferry boat for 15 minutes one can realize about Myanmar transportation system and real life of urban people nearby big Yangon city. Visit to Bogyoke market which is famous shopping place in Yangon (closed on Monday). Stop at Kandawgyi park in which there is famous Karaweik barge, proceed to visit Chauk Htat Gyi reclining Buddha, and finally visit Shwedagon pagoda that is the most venerable pagoda in Myanmar. Overnight at Yangon.

 

 Day 3:  Yangon – Heho – Pindaya - Kalaw

Morning transfer to airport and fly to Heho, drive to Pindaya on the way to Pindaya, enjoy beautiful landscape. Stop at Pao village in which Pao ladies produce exterior leaves of  Myanmar cigar. Upon arrival to Pindaya, visit Pindaya cave: collection of 8000 Buddha, since late 19th Century for the afraid of Japanese soldiers all local tribe brought their holly images and hide in the cave. Later, when we go independence Pindaya cave became one of the interesting places to visit for cave and famous landscape. Visit to family to see how to make bamboo and Shan paper umbrella bark of Marbury tree. Visit to local family how to prepare famous pickle tea leaves that we use to make salad in our traditional culture. Drive to Kalaw. Overnight at Kalaw.

 

Day 4:    Kalaw trek to Pao tribe village (home stay)

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Then drive to the base of the mountain where you start to trek. Walk for 2-3 hours to arrive the village where you will have lunch. Then walk about 2/3 hours to Patupauk village (Pao tribe) where you sleep. Sleep at local family house.

First part of trekking before lunch will pass many villages. Second part of trek after lunch walk in the field and feel beauty of nature.

Home stay at the village - you will stay at the same house with local family in the original village. As original family house, built by Bamboo, toilet is clean outside of house, there is open place to take bath, no hot water.

 

Day 5:        Trek  to Indein – Inlay lake

Morning breakfast at the local family house and start to walk. After 2 and half hours walk stop at local tea house for break time.  Continue to walk to Indein village for 3 and half hours. Upon arrival to Indein village refreshment and have lunch. Then take the boat and drive to Hotel. Check in at the hotel. Overnight on lake / Nyaung Shwe.

 

Day 6:   Visit on Lake

Visit full day on lake. Visit to colorful every five day market, stop at the village which is famous for the product of local snack that you see in every five days market, Phaung Daw Oo pagoda : the most important religious place on Lake for Shan tribe. Stop at fabric workshop where you can see how to produce fabric from lotus stem and make authentic product of Inlay Lake. Stop at famous Shan monastery which is famous as jumping cat monastery- Ngaphechaung monastery. Stop at Ywama village in which can visit padaung tribe family (long neck lady with bronze rings around the neck) and proceed to Ruins of Shwe Indein. Then drive back to Hotel.

 

Day 7:      Inlay – Kakku – Heho - Bagan

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Nyaung Shwe and drive to Kaku which is located 65km two and half hours driving from Nyaung Shwe. This area is inhabited by colorful Pao tribe with their distinctive traditional costume. kaku is a holy place for big collection of 2000 stupas in a small area of one square kilometer. Drive to Heho. On the way stop at Ayethaya winery and fell beauty of nature over Shan mountain. Possibility for local wine taste. In the afternoon fly to Bagan. Upon arrival to Bagan transfer to hotel. Overnight at Bagan

 

 Day 8:    Full day visit Bagan

Bagan is archeological zone of Myanmar as well as land of Pagodas. Morning walking tour around old Bagan pass trought from Thatbinnyu temple car parking to  Ngakwengadaung pagoda which has bubo shape and the oldest pagoda of Bagan and around that place one can see evolution of Myanmar stupa, Pathothamya temple in which you can see amazing lighting system and beautiful painting take car again at Bagan archeological museum. Proceed to visit  Nyaung U authentic market, Soya bean maker at Nyaung U village, fan maker family, Shwezigon pagoda in which white elephant stopped.  Visit Ananda temple which is known as the most beautiful temple in Bagan, amazing handmade lacquare workshop, Sulamani temple where you can see two layers of painting from two different epoca, enjoy   sunset from tower which is the best place to see Bagan. Overnight at Bagan.

 

Day 9:   Bagan - Kyun thiri village - Bagan

Morning breakfast at the hotel. Srtoll around ruins of Bagan by e-bike (scooter) which is very interesting as one can stop where ever want to stop to talk with local and to make picture. In the afternoon take the private boat and visit to Kyun Thiri village which is situated opposite side of Bagan. Observe real daily life of Myanmar farmer and their charming and peaceful life. Back to Bagan during sunset time. Overnight at Bagan.

 

Day 10:      Bagan drive to Monywa and visit

Morning breakfast at the hotel and dive to Monyaw (about 4 hours)

While you are driving enjoy beautiful landscape, stop at family on road side where they make Traditional rice cake in which one can see how to make Myanmar cake with rice powder and nice stop at local family house for snack tasting. Then proceed to drive and visit handicraft village in which villagers make incense, bamboo balance and one can admire Myanmar traditional family daily life and visit some old pagodas (19th century) which are beside of the village in the bushes. 8 km before arrival to Monywa stop at Thanbodhay temple: temple of 582,000 Buddha, forest of Bayan trees under one Bayan tree there is Buddha image, huge standing Buddha and reclining Buddha. Check in at the hotel. Overnight at Monywa.

 

Day 11:     Monywa- Po Win -Mandalay

Morning short drive to Po Win caves (one hour) which are house of 400,000 Buddha images, known as un touched archeological site in Myanmar. Stop at Monywa central vegetable market which is non-touristic area, stop at local teashop to taste Myanmar traditional tea and famous Nan. Drive to Mandalay. On the way stop at Ma U kyi village which is nice village where produce toasted sunflower seeds and local snack. Stop at the village to see how to make Myanmar traditional toys made of paper. Overnight at Mandalay.

 

Day 12:     Mandalay and Mingun

Early morning visit to rail market which is very special place where farmers sells their product as well as business sellers do great business and villager who come by train for trading. Back to hotel for breakfast. Then visit famous Jade market in Mandalay, famous place for hundreds of craftsman produce from smallest piece of Jade from huge stone. Visit Shwenandaw Monastery which is former Mandalay Royal palace, the world biggest book. In the Afternoon transfer to jetty and take the boat to Mingun for an hour. Mingun is small village which is situated on the western bank of Ayeyarwady River. Visit Pathodawgyi pagoda, the world biggest bell and Monument of love. Then go back to Mandalay by boat. Sunset on the boat. Overnight at Mandalay

 

Day 13:         Amarapura, Innwa and Sagaing

After breakfast at hotel, short drive to Sagaing. Visit to terracotta village in which all villagers produce different kinds of product made of clay for their daily use. Proceed to visit Buddhist monk’s monastery during their lunch time. Go up to to Sagaing hill  visit Soon Oo Ponnya Shin pagoda and U Min Thone Ze pagoda which are situated on the top of Sagaing hill: beautiful place for panoramic view over Ayeyarwaddy river and holy hill, Aung Myay Oo monastic education center under the guidance of Buddhist monk (from March to June school is closed). Precede to Innwa.  Innwa is an artificial island: one of the ancient capitals of Myanmar, visit Bagaya monastery, Menu Ok kyaung and ruin of Innwa by horse cart. Then drive to Amarapura and enjoy sunset from U Bein bridge. Then drive to Mandalay. Overnight at Mandalay.

 

 Day 14:      Mandalay and departure

Morning drive to Mandalay international airport and fly to ……..
