Mrauk U is ornament of Rakhine culture.  Rakhine (formerly Arakan) is one of the seven states in Myanmar situated western part of Myanmar.  Most of people are Rakhine there are also Chin, Daingnet, Mro and Khumi are inhibited. Rakhine offers some of the richest archaeological sites in South East Asia. While Bagan is considered as the City of Pagodas, Mrauk U is truly considered as the Fortress City in Myanmar. Mrauk U was the last capital of powerful Rakhine Kings between 1430 and 1785.  The old city is just 40 miles from Sittwe which is capital of Rakhine State.  Mrauk U can be reached from Yangon fly to Sittwe, from Sittwe can choose by water way or by road. If you choose water way, it may take (5-7 hours) depend on tide. If you choose by road it may take 3 hours. Can spend 3 nights at Mrauk U and on the way back to Yangon can stop one night at Sittwe. If you have short time, can go back to Yangon without stopping one night at Sittwe.

Duration :  4 nights / 5 days start from Yangon and end at Yangon

Day 1:   Yangon fly to Sittwe and drive to  Mrauk U

Morning transfer to airport and fly to Sittwe. Upon arrival to Sittwe  drive to Mrauk U (3 and half hour) enjoy beautiful green landscape, pass non touristic villages and can stop to make some pictures. Upon arrival to Mrauk U, transfer to hotel and check in. Overnight at Mrauk U.

Day 2:     Mrauk U

Morning breakfast at Hotel and visit around Mrauk  U which is ancient capital of Rakhine and  visit virgin land of Rakhine and visit to Rakhne farmer and fisherman villages.  Overnight at Mrauk U

Day 3  Mrauk U visit to Chin village

Morning breakfast at hotel and drive to jetty (Lay Myo river). Take fisherman boat and travel along Lay Myo River and visit to two or three Chin villages. Chin ladies are famous as tiger face lady or spider web face ladies. All villages can be approach by boat because villages are situated on the bank of Lay Myo River. Back to Mrauk U. Overnight at Mrauk U

Day 4: Mrauk U- Sittwe

Morning breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the jetty and take the boat to Sittwe( 5 /7 hours). Visit Sittwe view point, U Ye Kyaw Thu monastery . Overnight at Sittwe.

Day 5 : Sittwe – Yangon

Morning visit Sittwe fish market and stroll in the city Sittwe and transfer to the airport for the flight to Yangon. Upon arrival to Yangon transfer to the hotel. Overnight at Yangon.
